Holy Week is the very center of the Christian gospel. Therefore, we want to take it all in together as a community and walk with Jesus to the cross and to the empty tomb.
Palm Sunday, April 14, 4:00 pm at St. Andrews:
We remember Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the waving of palm branches and shouts of "Hosanna!" Nursery and children’s church age kids are invited to participate in a palms processional to start the service while singing “All Glory Laud and Honor.” If interested, contact April: AprilLGrimsley@gmail.com.
Maundy Thursday Feast, April 18, 6:30 pm at Old Sugar Distillery (931 E. Main St. #8):
We remember Christ’s last supper with his disciples in the upper room where he washed the disciples' feet, instituted the Lord's Supper, and gave the new command of love. We will gather all together for a feast and communion service. Please RSVP for food count. No childcare, but children are encouraged to participate.
Good Friday, April 19, 7:00 pm at St. Andrews:
We remember the death of Jesus through a Tenebrae service, a “service of shadows,” as the Light of the World enters into the darkness of death for us. We will focus on the last seven words of Christ from the cross through readings and music. Childcare available for nursery age.
Easter Sunday, April 21, 4:00 pm at St. Andrews:
We remember and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! Party to follow on the rooftop of Kavanaugh's (Galaxie) apartment building (822 E. Wash). Bring meat to grill and a side to share. Res Pres will provide drinks and desserts.
